Want to take a field trip to Matter Creative Center? We’d love to have you! Bring your class or group in during the day and play in our building lab or create in our pottery painting studio - either way your students will have a great time exploring their creativity and learning how to generate their own unique ideas. We can even connect your visit to your classroom curriculum, incorporating a variety of themes and concepts into all our activities.
Cost
The cost of your field trip depends on which activity you choose, the time of day you attend, and how many students will participate. We make every attempt to keep costs low while still providing an excellent experience.
- Building Lab Field Trips: Discounted rates available (usually $3-$4 per student).
- Pottery Painting Field Trips: Varies depending on the number of students and the selected pieces, generally between $8-$15.
Transportation Grants
The Iowa Arts Council’s Big Yellow School Bus grant program gives schools $200 for transportation to arts institutions. The grant form is quick and easy - click here to view more information >
